Preference, traditionally performed Christmas songs or the updated versions?

I personally really do enjoy the traditional old fashioned versions of all of the Christmas songs.
I think that the songs should be left alone and not redone to sound like a completely different song.
I do not like to hear Christmas songs performed by current artists that change the entire melody around to suit their particular taste in music.
What is your preference and why?
