You are all going to tell me how you cannot afford to, but I think as a nation we should all work part time.
I do this, I work 3 days a week giving me 4 off. This is the best way to work. I probably get as much done in my three days that some people spread out over a week, I mearly work harder to keep up.
The advantage of this is the time goes quickly and I don't get bored.
I don't need too many `work clothes`.
Less wear and tear on the car and less fuel.
I believe in getting on time and leaving on time. As I earn less, if anyone starts expecting me to put in extra I will always say "I am not paid enough to do extra unpaid work".
My work although quite a responsible job, doesn't stress me out because I get plenty of time to relax.
I like to keep a clean and tidy home and I have time to do this.
I go to dental appts etc. in my time off so do not interfere with my work schedule.
Since having my first child 30 years ago I have never worked full time. I have lived a very careful lifestyle financially so that this is possible.
For all you stressed out types, I'd say give it a go.

i happen to work full-time, and i love my job. to augment my income, however, i'm looking for jobs that i could do part-time, say, jobs like this (at mylot) wherein i get to earn a little extra on my spare time.
