My friend's best friend has proposed to him. They've known each other since they were toddlers. The problem is she is older to him by 3 years. This girl also happens to be a family friend, and he's worried that going ahead with the relationship will jeopardize a family friendship of years. His parents are orthodox and he is sure they will not agree. He's asked me for advice, on whether he should go ahead with the relationship, what should I tell him?

age i think should not be a matter of concern.if u see some famous figure like sachin, kapil dev..all married elder to them women and are happy go lucky guys.but convincing parents is tough.if u can do that then it should not b a problem.

I think so too,.. but he's having a tough time having to choose between his parents and the girl, esp since he knows very well that his parents are against such age differences. To top it, he's been saying that he's not sure if he's "in love" with her. He admits no one knows him better and he's also used to her, but he's unsure all the same.
