Suicide : A sin or an end towards Suffering?

Nowadays, more and more people are committing suicide in Singapore.. inability to handle the work load and stress in Singapore cause this, economy cause this, mentally weak cause this , etc... a sin? adding on to the suffering for those who live on? or end towards suffering? :S

not only i think that it's a sin but it's a coward way out, not wanting to face reality and the problem to see whether is there any other alternatives.
