Is the Nokia N95 availble on sale??

Hi people, One of my friends recently bought a brand new box-packed Nokia N95 with bill warranty from Columbia. From what I have read this phone will not be officially on sale till Q1 2007. Can someone confirm on this? Has my friend been duped?Thanks in Advance!!!
