Best Answer - Chosen By Voters The Indian society is an exclusive society. They greet and welcome any number of groups to come and settle down in this land. But, all these groups will not integrate themselves into one community. Unlike, the West. Take the example of England. The English society is a mixture of the Celts, the Germanic tribes, angles, the Saxons, and the Normans. Now, you cannot trace these groups in that society. They are totally integrated. In the same England, now the Asian groups from India, Pakistan and other countries have immigrated but they do not integrate themselves with the rest of the British. Similarly, the separate group identities in India, have led to the proliferating of castes. It is difficult for them to have marital alliances, as a matter of course. Even, if there is some inter caste marriage, that will not lead to the eventual disappearance of the caste of system. The caste tag is attached even to the progenies of the inter caste marriages. They are known as belonging to the caste of the father.
