In a free and liberated world like ours.. why are homosexuals mistreated? Why can't anyone let them be ? I'm a hetrosexual but totally and completely believe that every human being has a right to choose who they want to spend their life with. When can man and woman can marry and live happily ever after .. why can't a man and man/ women and women ? Why does society look down apon them and frown on their existence ? In india, their are laws which can lead to imprisonment of homosexuals which, according to me is TOTALLY unfair. Does your country has any such stupid laws/norms ? I really hope not.

Homosexuality is not a crime anymore than being straight is. Is it a crime that a person is born a boy or a girl?? NO it isn't and its no more of a crime to be born gay. I think the world would be a much better place if people would try to educate themselves before they condemn anyone for what they are!

I was discussing this with one of my gay friends and I'd like to add something that he had to say: Homosexuality a crime? Let's see, If you murder someone, it's a crime! If you steal it's a crime! Child abuse is a crime, physical and mental abuse is a crime, Loving someone for what they have in their heart and how they feel about each other, is not a crime, it's considered a prescious gift that alot of people take for granted. This constant talk about homosexuality should be considered a crime, because it's not what happens behind the bedroom doors that matters, what matters is helping people out, making those that are misinformed, understand, and to live each day as if it were your last!

Nope, its something that every animal in nature does. However that leads me to ask, are we humans, or animals? Have a nice day!

You are an Indian and you will be able to understand. In India, most of the gods are sculptured and carved in stones. If you call the stone as god, you will see god. If you call it a stone, you will see stone. Like that, if you think homosexuality is bad, it is bad. But mis-treatment as a human being is bad.

Our world only seems to be free and liberated. Many people think that not only their religion is the right one, but they habve the right to tell others how to live, based on their religion. I´m also heterosexual and believe that every human being has the right to choose, but how to convince them. I see the religious as the main problem, the main wall against homosexuality.

Some people cannot help it. Just because we come into this world in one physical form or another doesn't mean that our spiritual form matches our physcial. I admire those with the courage who are able to admit and be open about it.

I agree with your views, we are all individuals and just because I am hetero doesnt mean that I expent everyone else to be. As long as people find love, respect each other and try to get along its all fine by me

like most things that are introduced that are different then the general population, people are going to fear it until they learn more about it and understand it. just like how the blacks were prosecuted and treated differently, it took a while for the general public to accept them as one of their own. it goes on in society and i think its normal human nature, some people and areas are different then other, some places are accepting, some places are not. people should be open minded, but because people are taught to be this way by their parents, the cycle will continue until it is broken. it will probably take some time for homosexuality to be openinly accepted by everyone, but you'll always have the handful...hey it hurts to think about it but there are still people out there who are raceist...

I believe that whether a person believes homosexuality is right or wrong, is it anybody else's business what happens between two people in the privacy of their own home? Do I care if the guys who live next door to me are in love with each other? Want to spend the rest of their lives together? Heck.. they've found something that some people (even straight people) don't find. Why should anybody begrudge them that? Who am I to judge them for something that makes them happy? What they do is not affecting me personally, I don't see any crimes being committed, so what is the problem? This is how I feel about it. Let people love who they want to love.

Too many people in this world are racist and judgmental of other people. I think everyone should be able to be free to be who they are, not have to conform to society standards. Everyone should be able to feel comfortable with who they are without fear of retaliation. Part, maybe the biggest reason, is religion. People of one religion think their religion is the right one, and others are wrong, there are references in the bible that homosexuality is wrong, I can go on and on, but I think people should be who they are. Thank goodness there are laws in this country that prosecute people for "hate crimes". No one should be mistreated because they are different.

Homosexuality - Homosexuality
I also don't understand why people hate themand had isolated them from the society...they are treated as if they are creatures other than Human Beings...they are created by the God...And They have the full right to live in the society as they want and they have the right to marry whom they want...

for me, homosexuality is not a crime. but to do things that are not normal is what makes it a crime. i'm a catholic, and my faith teaches that Marriage is between a man and a woman - not man-man or woman-woman. it's similar with divorce. in the bible, divorce was allowed by Moses - not by God. Jesus said that Moses allowed divorce because of the "hardness of our hearts". this applies also in this issue of homosexuality. we want to make things happen even though we know it's not supposed to be, because we want to satisfy our earthly/wordly desires. i know it's very difficult to stay away but, there are things that should be kept in its original state. we always say that we are in the modern age, times change, situations change... we don't see that these changes are TESTS to us given by God - how strong our faith is?

I wish people would just get off their high horses and let people live the way they want. Men being attracted to men and women being attracted to women is not a crime and it is not hurting anyone so it really is no one elses business, but those people. I wish all of these religious fanatics would stop worrying about other people's lives and just live theirs!!!

I'm from Romania. The homosexuality is not punished but they can't marry each other and they can't have kids (from those centers). But I think it's better this way..
