Does anyone have trouble sleeping? What kind of things do you do to help yourself get to sleep or to stay asleep at night? I would like to know some ways to do this without using medicine. Does anyone have a hard time staying awake during the day or fear falling asleep while driving because of this? Has anyone figured out what the cause is for sleep trouble?

Yes I have, sometimes like today I just can´t sleep. As I write now I am wake for almost 22hrs and will go for more 13 or so hours. I never used any medicine to stay wake, or to sleep. It is strange, I feel sleepy during the day but just couldn´t sleep. It happens once a week for me.

I've had trouble sleeping for years and was on medication for about 18 months. Recently I started working with a chiropractor and have learned some new sleeping techniques that have really helped. I also find that turning the tv off sooner at night, reading a little or taking a hot bath by candlelight helps me relax. Chamomile tea has natural sedative qualities. Lavendar linen spray smells so nice and has helped many people through aromatherapy. Maybe try listening to your favorite calm music before bed.

I have this problem from time to time, it can be very hard for me to get to sleep, my mind wont stop thinking of all the things i need to do. some nights i will just get up and sit on the PC, drink a cup of decaf tea, then i will be able to get to sleep.

I had trouble sleeping almost every other day. Thoughts would race in my mind, about what has happened, or what is likely to happen. Then, I tried this thing..saying myself again & again "Don't think anything" (say it in the language you are comfortable) as fast as possible, in your mind. Drive all your thoughts away, and make a dark black screen in your mind, & make sure no thought comes on the screen. It really really works. Trust me!
