What fragrance takes you back to childhood?

I put this in 'general' as I wanted peoples own thoughts and experiences, not necessarily a 'mind therapy' or 'aromatherapy' answer. I know from aroma that fragrances stimulate the limbic system in the old brain and that certain smells can provoke memories. This time of year brings me a potent reminder of childhood. On my way to school (in the days when children were safely sent off on their own) I passed many flowering currant bushes. Their cheery red spikes of flowers were just the right size to nip one off and put it through a buttonhole of my (home knitted) cardigan. On bright dew washed mornings the scent of the bushes was a call to breathe really deeply and inhale the invigorating freshness, waking me up for another day at primary school, where I was taught by a fabulous 'old style' tacher called Mr Wales, now long passed over. On the way home from school, the scent had been sun warmed all day and was heady and drowsy, with bees buzzing lazily over the flower spikes. the one in my buttonhole was by now long gone or wilted, but I could get another next morning, for weeks on end. This memory comes back to me now as these bushes are in full flower in my street, although I haven't got one myself, I think I should! What fragrance stimulates other people to remember happy thoughts?
