living - in or marriage first

do you think living - in with your partner is better when after all you realized that you were not meant for each other so that it is easy for you to part ways rather than getting marriage then after which you file for annulment when you thought of separating of whatever the cause is... like having an abusive partner...

I would have to say living in first. Because some people have little habits that just drive others crazy. You never know the person you love may have some living habits that you just can't handle.

married 18 months, divorced. lived with the same man 26 years and have a beautiful 23 year old daughter by him. would never marry him or another man again

It's certainly not for everyone but my husband and I lived together for over 10 years. In that time we came to know each and realized that being together made perfect sense for both of us.

i think both are more or less the same ... because the only difference i find is that the first is unofficial and in tat case seperation is not given any name whereas in the latter it is official and the sepration is given a legal name - DIVORCE ...

I do think it is a good idea to live together before marriage. When you live with someone you come to realize all of their little bad annoying habits and then you decide if you can still put up with the bad habits after all! Plus, for some people, once you are with someone every single day and night you may begin to get on each others nerves and realize you arent meant to be!
