Death valley in flower.

I visited Death Valley in September 2003, and some roads were closed because of flash-flooding. I was told that this was because the rain is so rare, the place is not equipped, so rain washed mud over the roads. After I came home (to UK) in about February 2004 I think, there was a short news item about death valley coming into flower as all the dried up seeds had grown into flowers after some rains. Do you have pictures of this amazing event and can you tell me how often this happens?
