Going to Cayo Coco, Cuba - anyone already been?

I'm going to Cayo Coco, Cuba on Sunday. Has anyone been there before? If so, any suggestions as to what there is to do off the resort? Also, if anyone has been to the Melia Cayo Guillermo before, did you like it?I've been to Veradero before, but I'm wondering how different this will be.
