This phrase keeps popping up on my searches when I do my ptr and i was wondering if anyone could explain the concept of a water softener to me, because it sounds absurd to my ears. How do you make water softer? lol What the?

if you heared the word water softerner did you heared hard water. if you heared about this then you could easily understand the first term. actually hard water is composed of H2O2 where soft water is H2O. so the processor they used to turned water to convert into soft water is water softerner. do you understand now??

Hard water is water that hasn't been treated before going into your tap (from the well to your drinking glass). It usually has mineral sediments in it that affect the taste and will cause your eyes to burn when you're taking a shower. A water softner cleans some of those sediments out of the water.

It filters out the iron and lime in the water.
