New 7 Wonders of the World

The race for new 7 wonders of the world is on and we can all vote for our favorites at www.new7wonders.com. Do we all agree that this is really what we all need? If we can unite the world to vote for a building, monument, or a structure, why not do it for something that is more fruitful. I am posting this thread, not just to start a discussion, but only to provoke some thoughts. Can we all come up with some kind of global issues that can be run as projects as large as the new 7 wonders...who knows, we may just create the 8th one!!
