Humanity vs. The Environment

Do you think it is more important to support charities/ research that are looking for cures for things like cancer and so forth- supporting humanity...
or is it more important to support the environment, both flora and fauna to protect the world we live in?
OR are tehy both equally as important as one another and should be paid equal attention???

there is equally important. but, first step, we must help peoples out from poverty, and than support the environment, also give land for poor community, not only do preservation.

I think they're both equally important and should get the same attention.
