Is your Dog or Cat Spayed/Neutered?

Is your Dog or Cat Spayed/Neutered? I ask this question because their are so many animals out there already that don't have home that it is irresponsible for people to go without spaying/neutering their animals. If your dog or cat is or isn't spayed/neutered tell me why you chose your decision?

I so agree with you.My cat at present is not neuter, but will be soon.I'am having this done for a number of reasons, first of all for his general health. There is also a cat H.I.V. virus that maybe a lot people are not aware of,that I don't want my cat getting. Then there is also the stray population factor that I don't want to contribute to.As an animal lover it breaks my heart to see little starving homeless animals. That is how I got my cat, someone moved away and left him!Now he is happy and spoiled.

That is wonderful! good for you! I saved my cat from the vet hospital that I worked at. Someone brought him in when he was just a teeny tiny kitten to be euthanized because he had diarreah and was losing weight. I took him home and put him on antibiotics and he is happy and healthy. People make me sick sometimes. Thanks for responding :)

Yes they are. There is no way I'd let my pets be unaltered. They don't leave the yard, but we had an unfixed male Beagle who kept getting into our yard. Good thing my girl is fixed! There are way too many unwanted puppies in the world as it is.

that is exactly how I feel. This is a topic that I am so passionate about. It just breaks my heart to learn about the growing amount of animals that are out their without homes. Thanks for the comment :)

Good for you. That is wonderful. You really should have him neutered so that doesn't happen to his puppies.

All four of my cats are spayed or neutered. I am too old to care for new kittens and there are too many orphaned ones in the world already needing homes. Please people, do the same for your pet. You dont have to wait 6 months anymore as lazers are used for the operation and its safer for the kitten or puppy (age 12 weeks is now the minimum). Its a small investment and will add years to their lives and certainly less hassle for you on deciding what to do with that new litter.
