Have you ever noticed those white birds (cattle egrets) hanging around livestock, cattle mainly? Why do you suppose they like to hang around and EVEN ride on the cattle’s back?

They eat the flies and insects on the cattles back. This is what I think from my observation.

Somehow that is what I had also noticed from observing the ones around our bulls. By the looks of it, the bulls don’t seem to mind having a hitchhiker on their back. Thanks for your response
