How do I change my avatar?

I have tried to change my avatar and upload a picture but when I choose the picture I want and click upload, although it says "update successful" the change does not show. How do I fix this?

I figured it out - the problem was that the file I was trying to upload was a .bmp, so I had to change it to a .jpg for it to work.

Haha thanks. No, I posted this when I just joined because I couldn't get it to change from the generic one. After all, if I had figured out how to put a new picture up in the first place, why wouldn't I be able to figure out how to change it again?

I se that you figured it out I was going to ask you what file type the picture was they have to be a certain format.I know thats odd but thats the way it works.I am glad you found out how to do it and always keep in mind that you can ask for help and we all will try to help.Happy Holidays
