Need Family friendly TV show suggestions

Ok.. I need like-minded, family friendly viewers to help!
We like shows like: JAG, Sue Thomas FBI, Doc, Diagnosis Mu*der (although scares my 8 yr old).
Can you give me other ideas for CLEAN, family friendly shows playing on regular TV? NO S*x scenes, no crude humor.. just got story.. clean, suspenseful..etc.
I haven't even TRIED many shows on TV due to ad seems silly, or doesn't seem family friendly.
Can you help? Which shows do you watch as a family?

I haven't heard of any of those shows you mentioned, so I may not be of any help. I recommend Gilmore Girls, Heros (already half way through the season though). Shows like "So you think you can dance" and American Idol have always proven to be a favorite for my family and my girlfriends family.

I LOVE american idol! Not sure about So you think you can dance...the moves are a bit too s8xy for my 8 yr old.
Why do you like Heros? What's it about?

There is this real cool "new" reality concept show comming out. I is based on a family sitting or standing around a campfire telling stories. sometimes at sunrise and other times at sun set. The stories are all across the spectrum, from building dream machines to bible stories. The show concept was going real strong untile a "NEW" second hand smoke petition started making it's way through legislators hands. Potentially making second hand smoke from bon fires illegal for children to be within fifty feet. bad joke...I know.
