What do you decorate your Christmas tree with?

My family has always gotten a "special" ornament for each other every year with the date on it. It's just been a family tradition since I can remember. Sometimes I decorate our tree with only these special ornaments, just to remember and embrace family times. Other years I will use commercial ornaments in a "theme", and sometimes I let my kids make all types of decorations and only use their home-made ornaments. I like a nice variety from year to year....

When i was younger, we had old ornaments that my mum used when she was little.. it was a 'family' thing.. This year is the first year with my own family, and we just (literally!) put it up.. The tree is white, not green :( and apparently the way I put tinsel on was wrong.. so it was a battle getting it up :P But it looks gorgeous.. so theres no problems :)

That's great! I remember my first Christmas with my "own" family..it was kinda weird "being in charge". I love seeing family traditions! May you and your family have MANY wonderful Chrsitmas together and start your own traditions!! I bet your tree is beautiful!
