How do you feel about a statewide Ban On Smoking ?

With the ending of the recent election period, many new laws fell into affect (effect?). I found that living in Ohio and being a smoker (who wants to quit) was even affected by those new laws. Ohio voters passed Issue 5 on Nov. 7, 2006, creating Ohio’s indoor smoking ban under a new chapter of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC) effective Dec. 7, 2006. Now, wanting to quit is a good thing, and non-smokers right to breathe fresh air is another, but what it comes down to, is government in business. If a bar felt, that it would be better for business to become "smoke free" it should be a choice of management, not government. Think about it, if non-smokers were really that worried about being in a place with smokers, wouldn't these bars, bowling alleys, and restaurants already be non smoking? Please respond, and understand I am not against Non-smokers having a bit of fresh air, moreso the choice by government and not management.

Agreed, but for me it merely comes down to people in a position of authority using that status towards imposing rules on things that should be choices.
