I'm not so much of a stamp collector, but an ardent coin collector. So i would like to exchange stamps in return of coins. I just want the common coins in circulation from your country. Private message me if you are interested.I have many stamps.

It might indeed become very expensive, if you start buying and investing, I only collect them for the beauty, just keep grabbing and excahnging some, of course the last years I have not eventouched my collection. But it mught be fun...

It's not expensive at all ! If you intend to collect for fun, for your own pleasure, and simply to make friends, it does not cost a nickel. Only when you decide you want to show up stamps in competition (which might happen in 10-20 years) you have to buy expensive stamps to make your collection unique enough so it draws attention. I have been collecting for years, and paying nothing but the postage for trading.

I dont like collecting stamps because they are simply useless, stamps are created by humans, and why do collect them, Instead Do something which is useful, Dont take my advice seriously ,I dont want to discourage you. If you like it , then you should do it.

Hi. I don't really see your point. Is it just for stamps or do you means any type of collection? Becase there are all types of people collecting all types of things, stamps, coins, cans, tickets, money, sugar bags, cars, and so on ...

Collecting stamps is not collecting useless things, the value of stamps goes up all of the time and some collections worth millions of dollars, i have a few valuable ones among my collection and they are great asset, I think I may sell my collection one day when I need the money but I like to keep it for now as it was in the family for 3 generations, I just added to it.

If those are portuguese stamps I have a catalog, it contains all the portuguese stamps ever printed with the actual estimated value. Of course it will take some time to evaluate them, but if you have some old one you can start by evaluating those, you might find some of some value. Just let me know
