That's why I'm here. I was just curious, because so many people seem to be only concerned with making money; from what I see, the money is just a little spare "pocket change", and the real benefit seems to be meeting people and challenging your mind.

Yes Mylot is extremely addicting. So addicting that i swear i am alsmost to the point of dreaming about it while im sleeping ... LOL! The money is good yes but i am here because it is fun. i love responding and discussing and quite often the information that you are given is quite usefull indeed!!

I find that the information here gets me to thinking about things and then I find myself looking things up and reading more... It keeps the mind active, for sure.

I am here to meet nice people and to make a little money, as I don't get to go outside. Yes, MyLot can be addicting for awhile. But, then as you are on awhile, it isn't as addicting, but you meet some really nice people to be friends with which is really nice.

I know- If I'm doing something else I find myself wondering "I wonder what my "friends" online are doing? My family thinks I'm crazy, I think!

I think all of the above. I initially started out here like most, to earn some extra money. Once I found out that the money isn't going to pay the water bill, I was still hooked. IT's a great site, I love the conversation, and it helps me get through my day. Sometimes I need someone else to talk to besides a 2 year old. (: And I do think I'm begining to become a little addicted. I have other sites where I am making money, and some I can make more money than I do on here, but I spend MOST of my time here.

It gets addicting. I'm a little bummed over the layout of the forums. Think it's kind of hard to find an old topic.
But I originally came for money but now I'm starting to come on just to see if anyone's replied to me and then I keep coming back!

It is totally anonymous- you just have to be careful not to disclose anything in your profile or your posts that is too personal. Thanks for responding- you have a good point; this can be used as sort of an "online support group", and it can be quite beneficial.

to be frank all human beings will be addicted to some matters in this world directly or indirectly. so be proud that we're addicted to mylot which in turn gives some money in our pockets. i'm here in mylot to earn some $$ with gaining some knowledge for real life!!!

Thanks for the great response. I agree, this is by far a better "addiction" than most. At least we're gaining something valuable from it: friends, knowledge, and a little bit of money. We could be doing much worse than this.

At first it was to earn a bit of extra money but I'm finding myself really enjoying the conversation. I like to read the discussions even when I don't have anything to add just because it so neat to see so many different responses.

I do that too. Sometimes I'll read through the discussion and find that there is nothing left for me to add. It's a great place to learn new things.

Yes I find this addicting too and it's nice, fun and interesting to get different kinds of responses especially to discussions that interest you. If only everyone could be very honest and candid!

Wouldn't it be nice if it did replace a 9-5 job!! We could sit home with coffee in sweats and fuzzy slippers and talk to whoever we wanted about anything we wanted- and not get into trouble! Sounds good to me!

Thanks for responding. I'll check out Runescape- is it a game of some sort? I think I've heard of it somewhere, where you earn credits by playing. I've never been too good at video games (we didn't have too many when I was a kid), but it would be fun to check it out.

Aha, this is a good question. First I wanna make money. Later I realise when I got bored I just wanna "HOOT" (whack - this is chinese yakusa lingo. LOL)) my computer to entertain myself. Then I got addicted (see my thread). So I remain with myLot. heheh!

Learning new things and listening to others' opinions are the parts that are addicting and fun. Let's face it, it's really not that much money. We wouldn't be doing it if we weren't making friends and having fun.

i think everybody is here for many reasons. it is money for some people, for some it can be a good place to share your feelings and get some good opinions. its really a good site. if you have no one to share your thoughts and if you have some problem and you cannot share it with known persons, then it is a big support for them. This site has everything. GREAT SITE...

You're so right. I hadn't really thought about it this way before, but I suppose this is a "support system" for a lot of people who aren't blessed with close family and friends in their lives. It is a great site.
