Space shuttle Discovery, with seven astronauts aboard including Indian American Sunita Williams,today blasted off from Cape Canaveral in Florida, its first launch after sundown since the 2003 Columbia disaster in which astronaut Kalpana Chawla and six of her colleagues were killed. Discovery was slated for launch on Thursday but poor weather had forced its postponement. The space shuttle is on a mission to rewire the International Space Station, which will enable the installation of partner laboratories by Europe and Japan onboard.
