well i dont think so.i dont think the level of commitment would remain the same.marriage in itself is a huge commitment and once married he would always give his family the first preference..

I believe priests should be married, they have human tendacies also. If they were married, I think all that has happen in the catholic churches wouldn't have occurred. The church do not allow marriage, and they want the priests to remain within the celebacy laws. I find that this is impossible for man, they are men, not God. Other religions allow marriage because they realize that the pastors, preachers, evangelists, are humans.

NO!!! any dedicated preists will tell you the same thing. It's easy for us to say they can but its more complicated than that. I find a lot of people will say yess because now adays moral is low. Look at all the crime and lower population. The church is the most moral thing we have. Just wait till you get up there and you will see.

Yes absolutely. It isn't natural for anyone not to be able to couple and procreate and the proof is all the awful stories of pedophilia we hear involving priests. I don't remember one passage in the Bible telling them to stay alone.

it depends on which church i think. in christian, priest do get married and they be fair to the family and to the church as well. In fact, they usually more devoted to the church and the family usually gives more understanding.

Yes, priests should be allowed to marry. It has been shown that ministers and church leaders of other faiths are HELPED by the fact that they are married. Their wives support them and help keep them happy and focused. The men do not have to feel lonely here on earth and have something stabilizing in their lives. Priests are human, as has been stated here already. And normal humans need a mate.

Yes, Priests should be allowed to marry....... They are humans too and I don't understand how their marital status will alter their "job".

yea. the church shud allow priests for marriage. its ones personal interest whether to get married or not. but the priests shud make sure that they wont lose commitment to the work for god, after they get married.

No, Because being a priest is being pure! They set an example and what has been taught for many generations should stay the same. They are the ones that choose to become what they are. If they didn't want to be priests then they could chose a different profession. No one is making them be what they are. And yes if they were to get married they would be giving their commitment to their family cause that's what they teach you in church family comes first and to them God comes first!
