Do you take your lunch to work or do you eat out at work?

Work Meals - Sometimes I will pick up lunch while at work or bring something from home.

Do your normally pack something at home to take to work to eat for lunch or dinner or do you get something at the cafeteria there or a nearby restaurant or subshop? I usually pack my lunch four out of the five days of the week. I get something from a nearby restaurant once a week.

I usually just grab a can of spaghettios or a package of Ramen noodles and cook them at work! I stash a bowl and spoon in my drawer. Hey I'm a college student I have to do something cheap ;)

There is nothing wrong with that. The most important thing is that you are eating something. We all need to eat and should not skip meals. I know what it was like being in college. :-)

im a college student too and i understand how we sometimes buy cheap food to save some cash. but anything packaged is full of preservatives and very unhealthy for you. you can get away with it now that you are young, but not when you get older.

I like to pack my own lunch for work.. it saves on paying for a lunch everyday and at least you know you will like what you packed :P It also saves on the chance of getting food poisoning.. ive had a few incidents with take out.. but once a week, i will treat myself.. I pack lunch for my fiance to take aswell.. His friends at work are jealous because their partners dont pack their lunch :P

It is more convenient and less espensive to bring your lunch from work and it does not take a lot of time. Some days the restaurants are so busy you have to wait a while plus the cost is too much to do it all the time.

I try to pack our lunches. Some mornings it is just too difficult to crawl out of bed to make sandwiches. I try to cover about 4 out of 5 days with packed lunches to save. Face it, 2 people eatting out with the average lunch cost from a fast food restaurant being $6.00, which would be $60. Compared to a loaf of bread $1.25, a pound of lunch meat $5.99 (give or take) and a jar of mayo, $3.00. Thats a $50.00 savings that can be used elsewhere!

It is definitely much cheaper to pack a lunch than to eat out on a regular basis. I pack more now but before I would eat out quite a bit.

there's an indian restaurant that can deliver food up...so once in awhile, i will order for delivery from that shop. If not, i will either skip lunch or i will buy food on the way to work...but i'm not very selective, i can eat biscuit for lunch too.

Normally when I bring lunch from home it is something simple like peanut butter and jelly, ham and cheese sandwich or oatmeal. I like eating out where I work but it is too expensive unless a coworker is treating. :-)

I work at home now but when I did work outside the home, I would bring a sandwich or something small. I hardly ever bought lunch at work for two reasons, lack of money and I worked at a nursing home and we all know about hospital food.lol.

yeah, i totally agree, hospital food isn't the most appetizing food in the world, hehe.

When I was working, I took my lunch three or four days and ate out one or two times a week. I really couldn't afford to eat out! My honey eats out with his boss when they are working, his boss pays and they usually just grab dairy queen or mcdonalds.

It gets expensive to eat out too often and I work in the city and the food is more expensive there than in the suburbs.

I make something at home & take it to work with me. You save money that way & it's (usually) healthier. I eat at enough restaurants (& usually it's not the healthiest food) I try to make up for it during the week!

Most of the time I don't even eat lunch at work, but if I do, then I usually bring something small from home. Sometimes yogurt other times fruit. Today i brought a muffin and some water! I'm not much of a lunch person so that's why I don't really bring anything most of the time.

When I worked I took my lunch most of the time except the days we were paid because I would go to the bank so I would pick something on the way back to work. Now my husband takes his lunch everyday. I get up and fix his breakfast and lunch while he is getting ready for work.

I try my best to take a lunch to work. I find that if i eat out i usually eat the fast food junk. I eat mcdonalds, burger king or something else thats greasy. If i bring my lunch to work i usually bring a whole wheat sandwhich and i usually make better choices while packing my lunch.

I normally make a simple, quick and easy pack lunch, consisting of a sandwich (usually ham) and a chocolate bar. This is becasue its cheap and healthy, but if im feeling especially tired and in need of a treat then I dont bother and just buy a subway!!

you are following a very good practice. i also do the same. i carry my lunch always from home excepta few days when my wife or me is not in a position to pack the lunch or i have mood to eat in cafetaria.it is always better tocarry lunch from home as it is economical and quality wise also, it will be good.
