Do you think the Holidays have been commercialized?

I mean , lately, its been all about "gimme, gimmie" and "I want this" and "Give me that!" Christmas Lists are now longer, and the holidays seem to be less enjoyable. Ungrateful remarks also make the holidays a drag. What do you think ?

I agree. My kids are constantly reminding me of what they want for Christmas. I remember when they were younger, they told me: "Mommy, I don't want anything for Christmas, I just want you to be happy." Now, my daughter keeps pestering me about a labtop; my son bothering me about the new Nintendo Wii. I only wish I hadn't spoiled them rotten when they were younger.

I so think they are commercialized. Its all about money, buy me this, i want that. ugh. the holidays arent about being with your family, its all about buying things.

I have to agree with you It is commercialized. Pretty bad when the youngsters don't know the true meaning of Christmas or Easter for that matter. When we have to say Happy Holidays and not Merry Christmas it is bad Wendy
