Avocado is a natural source of monounsaturated fat, which makes it a heart-healthy food package. Alpha-carotene is best absorbed with some fat, as is vitamin E.

I must admit I love avocados. I tend to eat them on their own, scooping out the flesh with a spoon. They make a great snack/meal substitute as they are very filling.
