How do you control your children on watching more tv programs or more music..

Many people might be facing problems in controling their children when they either get engaged in watching tv programs for hours or sometimes, listen to music, play games etc...how do you all control them at this point? is it not very difficult? that too, during exam times, coping with them is very difficult isn't it? share your views here....
