Brand name products or Generic? Why?

For me, it really depends on the product. When it comes to foods, most of the time, I can't go generic. My family has come to dislike the taste of a lot of generic foods. If I'm truly honest, I'll admit that most of the time I prefer name brand simply because it's name brand.

i rarely buy anything generic food wise...i also tend to prefer the taste of name brand foods over the generic grocery store brand...like canned fruits/vegetables i usually buy dole/del monte over albertsons brand...
the only thing i may buy that is the grocery stores product is the white bread or fresh baked bread from the bakery...
