I do not think it is worth the hassle to spend a lot of money on brand names. The most I spend on clothes is $30, since $10 pants in my size can't fit on my butt. And the size larger is to big on me. But I would never spend over $40 on any form of clothing.

Well if you're going to use those accessories for a long time, it may be well worth it. My preference usually depends on what kind of product i need and for what purpose I'm going to use it. For example, if i wanted to shop for shirts that I will just wear at home, i just buy a generic brand at walmart or target, or wherever there's a sale. Now, if I'm buying shoes that i would need, say for running (and would use it for a long time), I definitely would choose a branded product because I believe branded products has an edge when it comes to quality. But what i usually do is I time and do my shopping when there's a sale going on in my local shops so i would be able to save on my purchases.

No cause all you are doing is paying for the name. I can find clothes that I like and are a lot cheaper at places like Walmart, etc...

I don't. The off brands are just as good as the name brands. I do some shopping at gordmans where you can get name brand clothing for less money but I basically shop at walmart. My children never wore name brand unless I got it really cheap. They don't even buy it now because they realize its to expensive.
