Computer problems!

Previously we had a virus enter our computer but we caught it by getting Norton Anti-virus on our computer. There is one problem though. Our homepage is not coming up and there is a site for downloading spyware and the like checkers and blockers. Also when I try to go to some sites I never had a problem visiting before an error page comes up but it is a tiny bit different from the regular one that comes up. I know our computer still has a problem but I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I just did a full scan using the Norton software and it found a Trojan and a tracking cookie on the computer. The software says those problems have been eliminated now. What can I do to get my computer back to normal? I would like to be able to go where I need to do schoolwork and other things that I want. Please help!

It sounds like spyware to me. You could go to http://www.lavasoft.com and download a free home version of adaware se personal edition. You could also get a free virus scan here: http://www.trendmicro.com There is also a free edition for avg antivirus here I think it is this site anyway. http://www.grisoft.com

You could try starting your computer up in safe mode with networking and try it again.
