Overweight and pregnant.

Looking for other ladies who have been overweight before they got pregnant and the real risks (if any) to giving birth. The hassles you had to put up with with doctors and midwives and the risks to having pain relief when in labour. I'm considered by many to be over weight and at a high risk to giving birth. All becouse of my weight and because i smoke aswell. I dont want any critisism. I just want answers or experiances that some of you others may of had. If weight is such a factor, then why do we big ladies get pregnant in the first place? Or is it the doctors and midwives role to give you alot of negative feedback to prepare you for the worst when in fact it could be as smooth as a babys bottom. Last time i checked i was 124.8kgs. My doctor told me that in order for me to fall pregnant, i had to lose weight. Which i did. I lost 20kgs if not a bit more but had to put my diet on hold because i fell pregnant with my first child. I lost the weight to get pregnant and now that i am pregnant, im too overweight. Please, can someone help me out on this as it is driving me insane or just tell me of your experiance. Thank you for taking the time out to read this situation of mine. Much appreciated.
