Child Abuse disgusts me!!

So,there I am having a coffee with friend,when her daughter starts to scream out to her mum.After settling the girl(aged 5) my friend comes back and explains to me that her daughter was recently abused by another friends 16 yr old son.The mother of this boy won't believe it,and Welfare says it would be more traumatic to put the girl through a trial than it is to let it go.
How the hell can they let it go?The authorities won't/or can't help,this child is destroyed,the family is destroyed...all because some mongrel cant keep his hands off a child!!
The laws need to be changed...

Child abuse, porongraphy and all its fruit is disgusting and will be judged the same

the child isnt destroyed....she isnt doomed for life because of this nor is her family..taking it to court may not be the best idea in all honesty but talking to a lawyer would give the best answer for that BUT that doesnt mean that taking this child to therapy isnt a good idea...in fact this little girl should get into therapy right away IMO
