I work in an office that only has a refrigerator. My husband on the other hand travels all day and is always getting fast food. I am tired of us going out to lunch all the time. Does anyone have good ideas of things we could bring for lunch? Something other then PB&J.

Hello There! I have not worked in an office for quite some time but I used to actually enjoy packing my lunches. Being a raw food vegan. Lunch consisted of many little containers full of things to mix for salads. Avocados I would slice and dip in a tuperware container of lemon and rosemarie, chopped up fruit, pieces of coconut and dried fruit for snacks. The girls eating their regular sandwiches with me said one day I would look in the fridge and my lunch would be gone! Sandwiches are filling but the high carbs and glutons can really slow you down making the second half of your work day trudgingly slow. Try fresh veggies, fruits, nut milks, nut bars for a week and you will see the days start to fly by. You will find yourself skipping the morning coffee as well.

I will have to try that! I hate the after lunch feeling of needing a nap. I would sure save money on starbucks.

I do a lot of different bagged lunches for my sister - a cold cut sandwich with potatoe salad, cold fried chicken, a sliced raw veggie selection with dip, tortilla wraps, meat pasties, piroshki, scotch boiled eggs, chilled cucumber salad... There are all kinds of packed lunches you can make. And plenty of good sites with suggestions. Good luck!
