Emails released today by Rep. Waxman show that, one month after Hurricane Katrina, Bush officials blocked a NOAA scientist from discussing the links between global warming and hurricanes on TV. ThinkProgress has the emails.

It's just another in a long series of actions, in which Bush's administration seeks to manipulate the public's opinions by crafting the news to fit Bush's agenda. America deserves a president who isn't afraid to allow citizens to consider two sides of an issue. Bush continues to disappoint me. This past week, Bush said "It's unacceptable to think", yes I've taken his statement out of context, true. But when we continue to hear time and time again of all the attempts his administration has made to manipulate data and stifle scientific opinion, "it's unacceptable to think" provides a pretty accurate identifier of his presidency.
