?Nowadays people are getting gastric bypass surgery with no problems. Is it the easy way out or is itjust as hard if not harder to excercise and get the weight off?

Well, it isn't the easy way out and I did have it. The long term results in are not great. There are long term malabsorption problems that will not go away. I am now anemic, low protein, low calcium and have osteopenia. This is not the easy way out. I think it should only be done for health reasons and even then I wonder if it should be done at all. I had it for health reasons and my diabetes was essentially gone immediately. Now the diabetes is still good but so many other problems from not getting the nutrients I need. And the weight...well you still have to watch what you eat and diet.
