Hmmm! I think I am a bit guilty for that one. I have only done it the one time though. One christmas my mum got me some perfume. It turned out I was allergic to it. I felt bad about it and decided not to tell her. Then I gave it to my mother in law for her christmas present. I am pretty sure that is the only time that I have done that though.

If it's from a relative who won't be looking for it, yes, why not? I think a lot of people on Ebay are selling gifts people have given them. You can either do that or return it to the store it was purchased from to get store credit. Too bad it doesn't work the same way here in the Philippines LOL.
