Numerology

We read a lot about astrology but not so much about numerology. Numerology is is when each letter is represented by a number from 1 to 9. You then calculate the numbers in your name and get a reading. The one I know a bit about is based on the pythagorus system. What do think of numerology.

"Numerology" in science
Scientific theories are sometimes labelled 'numerology' if their primary inspiration appears to be mathematical rather than scientific.
This colloquial use of the word 'numerology' is quite common within the scientific community and it is mostly used to dismiss a theory as questionable science.
