Do you think you are a romantic?

Love Love Love - Romantic love is a form of love that is often regarded as different from mere needs driven by sexual desire, or lust. Romantic love generally involves a mix of emotional and sexual desire, as opposed to Platonic love. There is often, initially, more emphasis on the emotions than on physical pleasure.
Properties of romantic love purported by Western culture include:It must take you by surprise (the result of a random encounter).
It cannot be easily controlled.
It is not overtly (initially at least) predicated on a desire for sex as a physical act.
If requited it may be the basis for a lifelong commitment.

In this modern world and age, romance is something that is not commonly displayed or seen anymore. Our experiences in society, more often than not, only serve to quash the softer side of us and harden our hearts. This is a world that inevitably turns a lot of us into cynics and pessimists who denounce love and a happily-ever-after ending. Call me an idiot if you will but I still believe that one day, a 21st century knight in shining armour will come to sweep me off my feet. (Not that I've ever had any experience in love/dating[I'm 16]. I don't know. Maybe it is in fact my lack of such experiences[read: naivety] that prevents me from being jaded) I mean isn't it sad that the sanctity of marriage is practically non-existent nowadays? People are getting divorced left right and center. I'm not saying that divorce is a mistake but that too many people are marrying for the wrong reasons. Anyway, I believe that that's enough rambling from me. If you think you are a romantic at heart, tell me what's the loviest-doviest thing you've ever done for someone or a favourite romantic fantasy of yours.
