China issued the first stamp in 1878, Qing dynasty. Please see the image for it. When your country issued first stamp? Do you still use stamps now. I almost haven't used it for more than 5 years.

I use to collect stamps when I was a child. I wish I still had my collection. I think my Mom threw them away. There were some pretty interesting stamps in there. This stamp is beautiful. I'll bet its worth a lot of money. Does China not use stamps anymore or have you just not mailed anything for 5 yrs? I still use stamps. I pay my bills by mail every month and send out Christmas cards, birthday cards, etc.

Yes, its true that people have started forgetting about stamps because the communication in this fast paced world are done mostly through email and the good old system of sending snail mail has been slowly getting into extinct which I feel is bad. Our country first introduced stamp in the year 1854. From then onwards the stamps in our country have come a long way with various forms and shapes and sizes introduced at various times. Recently, we introduced a stamp which has a sandalwood smell in it, which I feel is a great way to get people back to stamps and sending mails. They are planning in the future to introduce stamps which has rose smell in it. There are some rare stamps also like which there was printing errors like inverted pictures, etc. which people collect and has great monetary value also.

For most citizen, especially youth, stamp is becoming more and more strangeness. But in the area out of center, letter is still a reliable, maybe the only communication way.
