I don't know a fast recipe, although my fiance and his sister swear their Mom can make them in less than an hour (she's a 75 year old woman in Honduras). I don't see how, though, unless they are talking about just putting them together and the final cooking process. I guess it would also depend on what you are using to wrap them in. Foil alone would be pretty quick. We use banana leaves, and they have to be cooked and cut before use (we do it the night before). Then the meat and masa has to be cooked before use, and any potatos, rice, eggs, vegetables, etc that you want to put in takes time to prepare. Once everything is ready, it takes me about an hour to assemble them, then another hour or so to cook them. Of course, the assembly process is much faster if you have help, and most latinas I know love to get together to cook. I'm fairly new to the hispanic culture (only the last several years), but I love it!!!
