People on the side of the road.

Today I was leaving walmart, in a hurry to pick up my daughter from school, when I saw a lady standing on the side of the road holding a sing that said Family of 7 needs food. I feel so bad for those people. My mother said she bought one guy food once an the next day she saw him again and he was getting into a new truck. Aren't there places for people to go for help?

beggar - beggar
in my country lots of people like that too.its hard to tell the different between the real poor one with the rich pretend poor.its sometimes make us upsad with them because others are working hard to live while people like them are lazy and want to get easy money.but for me i'm not think of what they really have but if i want to give then i'll give.and i ussuallu only give to a beggar that really looks poor and need.however these days beggars mostly become a job for lazy people

Yes, there is but they also check out the people and see if their story is for real which is probably why this lady didn't go there. There are a lot of scammers out this time of year.

Yes, where I come from, we have beggars who are millionaires!!! Though some are sincere, others take the opportunity to rake in from the public's generocity! I guess that is why in UK and US the government have social walfare to look after those who need them. That way, the burden won't lie on the public.
