What is Faith ?

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 Many people think of faith merely in terms of a certain feeling, or a strong religious opinion that people hold for a period of time. True faith, by contrast, interacts with the prophetic realm. Faith from eternity is dynamic, not static. We say it is “dynamic” because it is connected to God’s unfolding plan or project of salvation, so faith keeps in step with what God is doing at the moment. Mere human feelings and opinions (the things that the world calls “faith”) go nowhere and are temporary. Faith exists independently of man’s history. History is simply the space between God’s promises and their fulfillment.

i do agree.. you said it all. but for me, faith is of innate nature of mens longingness for a reason of existence. it is beyond our minds decision and beyond our hearts content... we make our selves a faithful one when we have the knowledge and acceptance of superiority and omnipotence above humanity. it could be implicated by priori knowledge and a gift of wisdom. however it is humanly true that within us faith resides in different points of view, meaning and definition.. but one connectivity to all.

I pretty much agree with you. Faith is one's fidelity to their spiritual identity. To have faith is to ignore all your physical senses that give you reason to doubt and transcend your logical mind.
