Is medical assisting hard??

I want to pursue the field but it looks very demanding!

I thinks it's the opposite, my cousin went to school for like ten months to become one, she got her degree and now she's been working and she says it really easy work.

I`ve thought about that before too and looked into. You have to go to Community College for atleast two years and all you have time for is studying so that tells you right there, that it`s a lot of work. It is worth the money though and i know it`s a good feeling to help other people so you`d like your job. Also, you don`t have the hardest part as the doctor does!

Actually, you can also study through Adult Education that is available in your community without going to community college. This is more preferable because their classes meet state standards and have internships and real world experience in their curriculum and cost thousands less, so once you have completed your education you can start working right away in any medical office or hospital, unlike private schools like Brymen which will cost you about $10,000 to complete without ever seeing the inside of a hospital or medical office and do not even meet state standards, since they are not required to. The total cost is about $600 and you can finish in ONE year. As for being demanding, the people I know who are medical assistants see it as exciting and never boring.
