I love the show, but just what is an unsub?

The unsub refers to the unknown or unidentified subject that they are profiling. Hope this helps. :)

Criminal Minds - FBI profilers, great show
The unsub is the suspect they are looking for. They profile the unsub and actually finds them. The show was really good last night. I figured it out right away what Morgan was hiding and I knew who killed the boys. My husband told me I should be a profiler. I just laughed at him.

I figured it out about half way through. I like the show, and I guess I was asking about what was the origin of the word "unsub." They are un what or sub what? Hope that makes sense...lol
