Substitute for a ring pillow?

So with our wedding just about a week off, I still don't have shoes or a ring pillow. The shoes aren't a big deal because I have dress shoes that I can wear and my dress is so long that no one will see my feet. However, the ring pillow issue is still not resolved. My son is starting to think that the pillow may be too girlish and I haven't found one. With not a lot of time left to deal with this - and getting to the point where I really don't care - I am looking for an alternate idea. I was thinking of him just having the rings in the boxes and keep them in his tux suit (or have my Dad hold them) and have my son carry up the cord for the handfasting. That seems kind of plain though. Any ideas?

Wedding rings - 2 wedding rings
I like the idea of them just being in the boxes ot maybe one fancy box together, I hope someone can maybe think of some other ideas for you, it would be nice if everyone could be happy about their role on the day, good luck to you.

My son is happy because he is in the wedding, I just think someon put an idea in his head (probably my exhusabnd who has issues with frilly things). He is 7 and we wanted to wear a black tux with a god awful orange vest. We just got him measured and he didn't mention it, so I am hoping he forgot! LOL Thanks for the idea. I feel like this is the last detail that I just cannot get hammered out.

It doesn't matter. You can actually just have the maid of honor and best man hold the rings. It seems like no one really gives the ring bearer the true rings anymore, just little toy rings for show. If you want to you can give the ring bearer a box or other little item just for symbolism but nothing is actually needed.

I can't help you here, but I would stick with the pillow, but get one that you can use to make your ring stand out. Like with tassels and all.

We ended up using an ugly ring pillow I found for 75% off at Party City two days before the wedding. I just bought whatever because no one even saw it. I think a portion of the ring pillow ended up in one of our pictures.

I just thought maybe using a barbie doll pillow or matress or dolly pillows would be a good substitute but my thoughts are kind of late on that.. Well, The pillow in the end maybe annoying, but I hope you have many blessings and have a wonderful marriage :) - DNatureofDTrain
