Livejournal Users

We all know from our Interest that quite a few of us are http://www.livejournal.com users. Are you a paid member or free user? Do you have extra icons if you are a paid user? I am a paid user and have been for quite sometime now. I'll probably never be able to go back to free status now. I also have all the extra icons I can, cause well...icons are my addiction on there. I love using them to express myself more.

I'm just a free user at the moment, but I took the step to become a Plus member, so I have more benefits just for letting them place all those adds on my journal and profile page. It's annoying but you get used to it after awhile, and it does pay off with a lot of benefits that paid users have without having to pay for it.

you can you can set it to open for everyone to see Or you could make it locked for only friends on your list to see (or even just certain friends on a filter) Or you can make it private so only you can see it.

Well I love the friendships that I have aquired through it. And you can keep up with friends so easily through their journals when you look through your friends page. I love the site. Really. No other blog site has captured me as much as this one.

I am a free user. I never looked into paying for it. Just another expense I don't need at the moment.

Yea I don't need it either, but now that I have had it...I just can't go back, just mainly because of the icons. lol How horrible is that?

I started out on uJournal, back when you had to have an invite code to get onto LJ, one of the friends I made on UJ got a code and gave it to me, I have been on LJ since, I think I started on LJ in '02, and have been a paid member for two or three years now. I have more icons than I would be able to with a free account, but not as many as I could, I tend to just post with my default icon though. I used to update all the time, now I don't so much, not because I don't want to, but with school and the such, there just isn't as much time anymore.

I'm a free user. The only downside I have with free is that I can't do much with journal layouts.

I just have the free version of livejournal. I primarily use livejournal for my fan fiction. If I blog at all it is on my myspace account.

I've had live journal for a few years now. I'm not a paid user but I have all those adds when I log in. I think they offered that option and it gave you a few more features than the basic free acount.

I've never been one to journal, period. Online versions just sort of freak me out. Who reads them? And why? LOL I don't want my inner most feelings shared with anyone, let alone strangers. I guess I'm just a person that keeps it all inside. Must be why I yell so well at hockey games?! Let the release out!

Some of my Avatars - Some of the Avatars I've made for various forums.
I've been on live journal for a few years. It's not really dial-up friendly. I may go there more once I get DSL. But if I'm going to blog, I like getting paid for it. I've been mostly a free member on Live Journal though for a few months I tried out being a paid member. If I was going to pick a site to be a paid member on, it would be http://www.flickr.com because on there you can put up all your best photos and you get to post a whole lot more with the paid account. I think you only get 200 with the free version. And of course if Icons (avatars) is your thing you get to have one on Flickr too, so you could take all your favorites with you.

I'm a permanent (spelling?) user. My husband bought it for me for my birthday. It was sweet of him and only like $100. I think with the paid you have to keep paying so just do the one time fee and be done with it. You get a lot of stuff.

I'm a paid member, since last year, and I also have extra icons. Someone donated paid time to me (6 months) last year and that's what got me hooked. I really couldn't go back to being a free user anymore, I'd miss the extra features. As for the icons, for a long time I thought that just a few icons were enough for me, but I really started getting into icons (also making them) so I decided I needed more. I have more than a hundred now and it still isn't enough! I was surprised when I realized it wasn't enough, I previously thought I'd never be able to upload hundred icons, but I had no problem with it.

I agree, I love LJ! I'm a paid member. I have been a paid member for a while now. I don't know if I could do the free thing again either. I also have extra icons. =)

I have a free account - I'm not that into the things that you get with a paid account so I haven't bothered. I generally use is to write about writing and getting paid for it. I have only just started looking into communities and friends - I'm having a tough time navigating and finding folks who share my interests. That's part of the reason I started coming here!

I'm a paid user with extra userpics. I really wish livejournal would open up the option to buy permanent accounts again, because I've been an ljer since 2004 and am unlikely to leave the site anytime soon. It would probably be more cost-efficient to just have that one payment and then get access to all the features thereafter. (Also, I'd really like the full complement of userpics...)

I have a free account. I'm longing to get a paid one, but I'd probably be addicted to icons too, and I can easily envision myself buying more and more iconspace so I can upload useless (but pretty) icons, so, no.

I'm a paid user and I have 105 icons! I love them, and I feel like they express what I'm feeling. I also have custom mood icons to do the job as well. Livejournal is such a fun and open community (kind of like myLot), and I love being a part of it. :D

I'm a free user. My old account was paid, but I deleted it and began anew. I just don't use it enough to bother with a paid account.
