Previous relationships - scarred for life?

I have found myself getting angry or jealous, in my marriage, about things that wouldn't have even bothered me in my previous relationships. Have things that I've been through in previous relationships made me more wary of accepting things in my marriage? Am I less-trusting because I've been cheated on? Or, is it just because I'm deeply in love, and don't ever want to lose my husband? Or, is it society, like media, movies and music, that makes us so critical and held-back, even when everything is going great and we are deeply in love? Just some thoughts.
