I think Child abuse in any form is problaby one of the worst crimes that can be committed. I speak of experience. When one is murdered, they are only forced to endure the pain once (hopefully they believe in God), but when a child is abused, it is something that replays in thier minds over and over again. It is something that affects every relationship they have whether they realize it or not. I was abused when i was a child, and I am still affected by it. Children are a precious gift from God, and there care should not be taken lightly.

As someone who suffered every type of abuse from a number of people throughout my childhood and until I was 22, I can relate to what you are saying, and I think I would agree with you that child abuse is at least one of the worst crimes. I want to assure you that the effects of child abuse CAN be nullified. I can now be thankful for everything that happened in my life. It hasn't affected me in any way for many years now. I hope and pray you will find release from all the events of the past. Thank you sincerely for your honesty and response. God's richest blessings.

Yes, time heals all wounds they say. (: I know God has been healing my heart for many years. I have come a long way from the years of despair it caused me. There are still many Memories that I have yet to remember, whether it is God's grace, or my own mind not allowing me to bear it I am uncertain. But his Grace is sufficient.

For me it has to be child molesters. I find it very hard to imagine what kind of people could do that to kids and still live with their conscience not knocking them down.Perhaps they don't have a conscience. To me rape is equally heinous, but molesting a child is like living without a heart and I feel no mercy should be shown towards such criminals.

It appears that many here agree that child molesting is the worst type of crime. I find all crime hard to understand, but trying to understand the mind of anyone who abuses a child is the most difficult. I think my second step father was the most evil person I've ever known, and I have often wondered what happened in his life to make him so totally embittered and evil. I felt so much pity for him in the latter part of his miserable life. Thankfully, I rose above what he did to me over a period of 11 years, but many children are badly affected for life and never recover. Thanks for your response. While I tend to put all crimes in the same category, I agree that crimes against children are the worst type.

I always thought that stealing was the worse thing to do to someone. Taking someones eles belongings is like all other crimes combined

doyoulikeme, I agree that stealing is a bad crime, and can have very disastrous effects on people. I am thinking of elderly people who suffer a home invasion. Their peace of mind and sense of security is threatened. However, I would consider some crimes much worse. Thanks for your contribution.

I believe that using religion to justify deeds such as rape, murder, etc. - THAT is the worst crime of all. No one should ever be passed by that destroys others in the name of God (or any other God, for that matter).

ShadowHawk, while I might not agree that using religion is the WORST crime, I certainly believe it is high on the list. I am pleased you used the word "religion" there, but I would also use a small "g" for god. The true and living God could not countenance any crime in His Name. I am afraid it is true that many people climb on the bandwagon and use religion for their own purposes, whether to satisfy their selfish desires and greed or simply as an excuse. However, I must point out that we do not throw away real banknotes simply because there are counterfeit banknotes. In the same way, we can not throw out or discard genuine Christianity because there is much false religion. Thank you for your response.

The worst crime is any crime that involves killing someone.
